What do you buy when you don't know what to give?

Notes on life - a gift for when you don't know what else to give someone? As we sort through everything that we need to as part of relocating Hope House Press to Cambridge, I've come across some beautiful emails about the difference that our notebooks and journals have made to people's lives.

Loss, change and growth is part of life - it can also be incredibly painful and something that the person who experiences it finds hard to process. What do you buy someone who is at a turning point in their life? Starting over when they didn't expect or want to? Finding themselves in a different work, home or community to the place they expected to be in?

This is where our notebooks and journals have come in. We've had orders for personalisations with inspirational quotes, deliberate mis spellings of phrases that are meaningful for the recipient, religious phases and perhaps most touchingly, phrases around thinking positive, and that everything is going to be ok.

So, if you're ever in a place where someone is at an important point in their life, where you want to do something for them - to gift them something that says 'you're in my thoughts' or 'I'm right here with you', I'd urge you to consider buying our smallest notebook - the A6 Slimline Notebook - so it can go in a handbag, jacket pocket or by the side of the bed. You'll be amazed at how much it can mean to someone - now and in the future.
