Hope House Press design influences...

I went to Copenhagen for a couple of days this week - I filled up on hot chocolate and lots of clean lines, splodges and colour. I am a fan of Scandinavian design but have an 'active' family that doesn't quite allow for it to feature in my life as I'd like it to!

I know that you might not initially think of Hope House Press's leather collections and these designs as being synonymous. But they both have quite a bit in common: they are design classics - things that make life much more interesting. What do you think to them?

First up, I totally recommend that you check out Louise Dorph's site - yes, it is in Danish. It translates if you wait long enough. But you don't need it to translate - just browse the beautiful photos.....

Then move on to Ferm Living - their wallpaper is the epitome of that cool sort of detail that makes people take a second look around.

And finally, go to Kay Bojesen and check out the hippo that you can write on using chalk. It's the perfect gift for a family who already have everything...

If you are heading that way, make time for the Danish Design Museum. And then go to Illums Bolighus - that place made me want to find a way to integrate everything in their five floors into our 1930's house..... If you're not, make like me and set up a pinterest board that can be your virtual house instead!
