Formation of a contract
No part of this website is intended to constitute a contractual offer capable of acceptance. Your order is an offer by you to enter into a binding contract, which we are free to accept or decline, at our absolute discretion. After you have been through checkout, you will receive an invoice by email, which acts as an acknowledgement of your order (Order Acknowledgment) This will detail products ordered, payment method, cost (including p&p) and the estimated delivery time. This email is not an order confirmation, nor an order acceptance from Hope House Press: Personalised Leather Notebook, Journal & Diary Studio.
Please check that all the details on this email acknowledgement are correct - and contact us as soon as possible if any details are found to be incorrect. Your order constitutes a contractual offer - and our acceptance of that offer is deemed to occur only upon our sending a dispatch email to you, indicating that your order has been fulfilled and is on its way.
A contract between yourself and Hope House Press: Personalised Leather Notebook, Journal & Diary Studio for the sale of our products, will only exist once you have received an email from us to advise you that your product has been dispatched. We reserve the right to delay the processing and dispatch of any order, where order details given to us by you are found to be incomplete, or fraud is suspected. We also reserve the right to decline your order, without giving a reason, prior to despatch. In this case, you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to those orders.

All orders with a value of £40 and over are dispatched First Class Signed For with Royal Mail. We reserve the right to deliver higher value orders via courier. These parcels require a signature on delivery. If there is no one available at the delivery address to sign for your parcel, according to current Royal Mail delivery policies, your parcel may be left with a neighbour (unless you have opted out of this directly with Royal Mail) or returned to your Local Delivery Office. In the event that you have not received your order within 7 days (for mainland UK addresses), please check with your local Royal Mail Local Delivery Office, before contacting us to let us know that your parcel has not arrived. Delivery of the order shall be completed, when the goods have been delivered to you. The goods will be your responsibility from the time of delivery.

For the avoidance of doubt, we will not be liable for any customs duties or charges arising as a result of the goods being sent outside the European Union. Furthermore, we will not be responsible for the return delivery costs of items sent outside the United Kingdom.
The current estimated delivery times are stated on the website, at the time your order is placed. To avoid disappointment, you are advised to allow plenty of time for your order to arrive after it has been dispatched by us. Our standard free delivery service within the UK is Royal Mail First Class Signed For, which is not a guaranteed delivery service. If you require us to send your parcel by a guaranteed delivery service at extra charge, please contact us to arrange this, prior to placing your order. Once your order has left us, we cannot accept any liability resulting from any postal delays which may occur, which are outside of our control.
We make every effort to maintain good stocks of all materials required to bind our products to order to your specification. However, occasionally some products may be unavailable. We will inform you as soon as possible, if any goods you have ordered are not currently available - and an estimated date of when any such products will be available for dispatch. You will have the option to cancel your order if you do not wish to wait - and would prefer not to select an alternative product. In this case, we will refund all monies paid to us in relation to the item(s) concerned.
Cancelling Your Order
If you are a consumer (acting outside your business), you may cancel your order in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, this does not apply if you are not a consumer, or to goods which are personalised, or otherwise made to your specification. You may otherwise cancel any order which falls outside these exclusions for any reason, until the date of dispatch. In this event, a full payment refund will be made to you within 30 days of this cancellation. If you wish to cancel a contract after your order has been despatched, please refer to our Returns policy.
We hope that you will be delighted with any products you purchase from Hope House Press: Personalised Leather Notebook, Journal & Diary Studio, but we understand that on occasion goods may need to be returned. We take every care in preparing your order. However, in the unlikely event that the goods you receive are faulty - or that you have been sent the wrong product, as a result of a mistake made by us; please contact us within 28 days to arrange their return. In the event that you have received items that are damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt, to enable us to make a prompt claim against the delivery company - and to resolve the situation to your satisfaction, as quickly as possible. Please quote your order number in all correspondence. We will arrange a full or partial refund, or arrange to replace the items, subject to availability. We will ask you to return the damaged items to us, by First Class Signed For delivery, so we can verify the damage. In this instance, we will refund the return postage costs paid by you (up to a maximum cost of £10.00). This refund policy does not affect your statutory rights. If you wish to return goods purchased from us for any reason, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org before returning any item - and we will issue you with a returns number. In all correspondence with us, please quote your order number to enable us to deal with your case promptly. When returning items, please also provide proof of purchase, such as a delivery note, or printed copy of your order confirmation email from us. For the avoidance of doubt, we will not refund return delivery costs simply because the item is unwanted.

Purchasing Handmade Items
We make every effort to suitably describe the products we offer for sale, through photographs and written product descriptions. However, please note that by their very nature, handmade products are to some degree unique. Variations may include, but are not limited to, precise dimensions of size, exact colour, the nature and character of the leather finish - and the precise positioning of any printed text. Size: The product dimensions listed in the shop, are references to the size of the paper. The actual size of the finished product will be marginally larger than this. Our leather covers are all cut to size in the studio. Very minor variations in size may occur between products of the same type. Colour: The leather we use is dyed in small batches. There will be some variation in leather colour between and even within batches, as each hide is unique. This means that if you order two products of the same colour, there may be some minor difference between the colours of the finished books. Finish: All our leather covers are subject to careful quality control screening. However, as leather is a natural product - the surface of the leather will display variations in colour and patina. These may include minor natural marks and irregularities inherent in the hide, or introduced as part of the tanning process.
Positioning of Text
Our personalised items are printed by hand - and we will use our skill and expertise to suitably position your choice of text in accordance with the personalised styles offered. There may be slight variation in the exact positioning of printed text between printed products of the same style. All the variations outlined above, should be regarded as part of the character and design of the item - and should not be regarded as faults. We take pride in our craftsmanship and the quality of our products. We respectfully point out that, if any of these aspects of the handmade nature of our goods give you particular cause for concern, our products may not be suitable for you.
Colour Reproduction of Product Images
Our site contains images of our products bound in a range of colours and personalised styles. We make every effort to portray our products accurately with descriptions and images. However, please note that with regard to the reproduction of product images on your screen, variations may occur, depending on the screen and software you are using to view the site. We are unable to accept any liability for discrepancies between actual product colours and product images viewed the screen you use to view our website, since this is outside of our control. Any product images, colours, product descriptions or advertising we issue in print or online are issued solely to provide you with an approximate idea of the goods they describe. They do not form part of the contract between you and us for the sale of goods.
